Jeneba Winfrey-Porter

In August we welcomed our new Chief Operating Officer, Jeneba Winfrey-Porter, MHA.

As our Chief Operating Officer, she provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure Heartland Health Centers has procedures and systems in place to grow the organization and provide for financial strength and operational efficiency.

Jeneba  joins us from Church Health in Memphis, Tennessee, a faith-based nonprofit multi-specialty health system serving 30,000 plus patients.  She is a dedicated, passionate, and inclusive healthcare administrator with over 10 years of leadership experience, including a proven track record of handling increasingly complex responsibilities and exceeding patient care goals.  A focus on quality is core to Jeneba’s work: she has a green belt in lean six sigma and started the quality department at Church Health.

She has also been an adjunct professor at University of Memphis in Healthcare Leadership. Her bachelor’s degree is from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Health and Human Performance–Physiology and Kinesiology. She has a master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Memphis. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and National Association of Health Services Executives. In 2021, Jeneba was recognized by the Memphis Business Journal as a Forty under Forty Honoree.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome her! We’re also very grateful to Jamie Ellingwood for her leadership as interim COO this spring and summer. Jamie is our new Vice President of Clinical Operations.
