At Tapestry 360 Health, internships are about more than gaining experience — they’re about discovering confidence, leadership, and purpose in healthcare.

For Georgia Glidden, a graduating senior at Loyola University Chicago studying Healthcare Administration, her internship journey became a powerful season of personal and professional growth.

Discovering Confidence Through Experience

Throughout her four-month internship, Georgia supported projects across operations, finance, communications, and organizational

strategy. She worked with multiple departments and leaders across the organization, allowing her to gain a broader understanding of how community healthcare systems operate behind the scenes. When reflecting on her experience, Georgia described “growth” as the word that best captures her internship journey.

“I’ve learned to ask better questions, communicate more confidently, and show up in a more present way,” she shared. She also reflected on how stepping outside of her comfort zone helped her become more proactive, engaged, and confident in leadership settings.

Passion for Health Equity and Representation

One of the projects that impacted Georgia the most focused on improving diverse hiring practices for Black and Latino primary care physicians. Through her research, she explored the relationship between provider representation and improved patient health outcomes within underserved communities.

“That project really lit a passion for me,” Georgia explained. “It made me realize how important representation is in healthcare and how much work still needs to be done.”

Her passion for public health, queer health advocacy, and women’s health continues to shape the future direction of her career.

Looking Ahead

Following graduation, Georgia will continue her education through Loyola’s accelerated Master’s program in Healthcare Administration while exploring opportunities in healthcare leadership, public health initiatives, and nonprofit healthcare systems.

At Tapestry 360 Health, we are grateful for Georgia’s thoughtfulness, curiosity, leadership, and passion for community health. We are excited to watch her continue growing and making a difference in healthcare.

Congratulations, Georgia!
