Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy Through Service and Art

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” This question inspired us as we came together on MLK Day to honor his legacy through service, unity, and creativity.
This year, Tapestry 360 Health partnered with City Year for a transformative Day of Service at Bright Elementary. With paintbrushes and a shared commitment to uplifting our communities, we turned blank school walls into vibrant murals—symbols of hope, learning, and empowerment for the students who walk these halls every day.
More Than Just Murals: A Commitment to Change
While our work at Bright Elementary was filled with color and creativity, it was about much more than painting. It was a reflection of Dr. King’s vision—a vision rooted in equity, service, and collective action. Each brushstroke represented the power of collaboration, the importance of community, and the belief that small acts of service can lead to lasting change.
We are incredibly grateful to City Year and to every volunteer who joined us in making a difference. Your dedication is a reminder that when we come together with purpose, we can build a brighter, more equitable future—one brushstroke at a time.
