Skokie Fun, Health and Fitness Open House
Open House at Tapestry Skokie
A fun fair and open house Sunday, June 23 will mark the six-month anniversary since Tapestry 360 Health opened its new Skokie clinic to provide high-quality health care for all the community from expecting moms, children, adolescents, adults and seniors regardless of income.
What: This free event open to the whole community features activities, giveaways, music and refreshments for children, adults and families, including:
- Fun- bounce house, face painting, magician, visitors from Skokie’s Talking Farm and the Skokie Library Book Bike, and more;
- Health- blood pressure checks, nutritional counseling, and appointments for back-to-school physicals; plus
- Fitness- soccer, Yoga and Zumba.
No RSVP needed, come one, come all. And it’s Free!
When: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at Tapestry Skokie, 8320 Skokie Blvd.
Where: at Tapestry 360 Health-Skokie, 8320 Skokie Boulevard, Skokie, IL 60077
The new clinic offers comprehensive care including primary care and mental health services to patients who are uninsured, underinsured, immigrants, and refugees. Medicaid, Medicare, some private insurance are accepted and a sliding fee scale is available for those without insurance.
It is open to all members of the community and operates 8:30 am to 5 p.m.Monday through Friday; phone interpretation is available in 200 languages. Appointments can be made at Heartland’s main appointment line, 773-751-7800 or by calling the clinic at 847-410-6501.
