Staff Spotlight: Celebrating Mujibur Reahman — A Bridge of Compassion, Culture & Care

At Tapestry 360 Health, we pride ourselves on being a community where every voice matters and every patient is welcomed with dignity. This month, we are honored to spotlight one of the newest—and most impactful—members of our team: Mujibur Reahman, a community health coordinator in the Refugee and Immigrant Care department, at our Devon location.

Though Mujibur has been in the United States for two years, he brings with him a lifetime of experience, empathy, and advocacy that enriches our clinics every single day. When patients walk through our doors, uncertain, afraid, or unable to communicate their needs, Mujibur meets them with understanding that comes from lived experience—and a skill set that is truly extraordinary.

A Background Rooted in Service

Before joining Tapestry, Mujibur spent 11 years in Malaysia, dedicating his life to humanitarian work. He served refugees for six years, supported rescue efforts for three, and later joined a medical organization providing care to communities without access to healthcare. His work also touched global organizations such as UNHCR, Doctors Without Borders (an international medical organization operating in over 100 countries), the International Rescue Committee, and Action Against Hunger, where he supported people facing displacement, crisis, and systemic barriers.

His perspective is not one learned in training—it is one he has lived.

Coming from a community in Myanmar that has experienced persecution, genocide, and long-term lack of access to education, Mujibur grew up knowing the importance of advocacy. He spent more than a decade navigating the refugee experience himself—an experience shared by the vast majority of the patients we serve.

A Rare and Remarkable Gift: Language, Empathy, and Cultural Insight

One of the most extraordinary skills Mujibur brings to Tapestry 360 Health is his ability to speak seven languages fluently, including Rohingya and Burmese, enabling him to connect with patients who might otherwise struggle to navigate the healthcare system.

For many of our refugee and immigrant patients, language is the biggest barrier to receiving care. Mujibur steps into that gap with compassion and clarity.

“When people come in with pain and cannot communicate, I can be the bridge. I can share their pain with the doctors,” he says.

His presence transforms the patient experience. The moment he begins speaking in someone’s native language, their shoulders relax. Their fear softens. They know they are understood.

His deep cultural knowledge, combined with his background in medical advocacy, allows him to guide patients with confidence, comfort, and profound empathy. He has lived through the same hardships—displacement, loss, fear, uncertainty—and it shows in the gentleness with which he supports those who walk into our clinics.

A New Beginning With Tapestry 360 Health

After arriving in the U.S. in January 2025 with his wife and their 7-year-old child, Mujibur applied for his very first job in America—and chose Tapestry 360 Health.

Since starting in April 2025, he has brought fresh perspectives, unwavering dedication, and a passion for learning. Every day, he strives to improve, innovate, and bring something meaningful to his work and his team.

Despite the challenges he has faced—including being separated from his mother and siblings, who remain in a refugee camp in Bangladesh—Mujibur arrives each day with kindness, determination, and a genuine desire to help others.

“When I see a patient smile, my tiredness leaves,” he says—a reflection of the heart he brings to everything he does.

Mujibur’s dedication, humility, and commitment to learning something new every day enrich our team in countless ways. His presence strengthens our mission and ensures every patient feels safe and welcomed.
