Social-Emotional Developmental Assessments
Social-emotional health helps children learn, have fun and connect with others
We want to understand social, emotional and mental health needs at every age and stage of life, including for your child.
We promote social-emotional health in children because we know it helps them learn, have fun and connect with other people better. If we do find any problems, the earlier we can start to address them, the better.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has found social-emotional screening tools are better at identifying young children at risk for behavioral and social-emotional issues than other assessment tools.
In our assessment we might look at your child’s behaviors and traits. Examples include their relationships and interactions with others, how they manage their emotions and their ability to learn.
