Kelly Vaez DNP, FNP-BC

Dr. Kelly Vaez is a highly accomplished healthcare professional whose extensive expertise spans clinical practice, academic leadership, and research. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at UIC’s College of Nursing since 2016, Dr. Vaez has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare practitioners. Her commitment to education is evident in her roles as a Visiting Teaching Associate and Clinical Instructor prior to her professorship. In clinical practice, Kelly served as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UIC Mile Square Health Center-Humboldt Park, contributing significantly to patient care. She further enriched her clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Advocate Medical Group’s School-Based Health Centers in Chicago.

Kelly’s impact extends beyond clinical settings, which is evident in her numerous awards, including the prestigious 40 Under 40 Award from the Illinois Nurses Association in 2017. With a robust publication record and a history of impactful presentations, Kelly’s multifaceted background and commitment to excellence make her a vital asset to our healthcare team.
