In today’s fast-paced digital world, access to healthcare is increasingly dependent on technology. From booking appointments online to reviewing medical records, digital literacy is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. However, not everyone has the knowledge or resources to navigate these platforms, creating barriers to essential healthcare services.

Recognizing this challenge, we recently partnered with Centro Romero to host a Spanish Patient Portal Literacy Workshop, a hands-on session designed to equip patients with the digital skills needed to manage their healthcare online. Participants learned how to register for the Tapestry 360 Health Patient Portal, create an email address, and navigate the system to easily access medical records, request appointments, and communicate with their providers.

The impact of this workshop was immediate and meaningful. Eight patients successfully onboarded onto the portal, gaining confidence in their ability to take control of their healthcare journey. For many, this marked a crucial step in breaking down digital barriers and increasing access to critical medical resources.

This experience reinforced the importance of digital and health literacy, particularly in underserved communities. When patients understand how to use online tools, they can take an active role in managing their health, reducing stress, and improving overall well-being.

We are incredibly grateful to Centro Romero for their partnership and to our dedicated volunteers who made this event possible. Moving forward, we remain committed to hosting more workshops that empower our patients, close the digital divide, and ensure healthcare is accessible to all.

Stay tuned for upcoming sessions as we continue to foster digital inclusion in our community!
