Est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para proteger a las personas VIH negativas contra la infecci\u00f3n por la actividad sexual o el consumo de drogas inyectables.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/hiv-aids\/hiv-prevention\/hiv-prep\">La PrEP estimula la producci\u00f3n de anticuerpos para prevenir que el virus del VIH se multiplique en el organismo<\/a>. En la actualidad, hay dos formas de administrar la PrEP: una pastilla oral y una inyecci\u00f3n. Cuando se toma seg\u00fan fue recetada, la pastilla tiene una eficacia del 99%.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-1 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:10px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"margin:0;--fontSize:36;line-height:var(--awb-typography1-line-height);\">\u00bfQui\u00e9n deber\u00eda plantearse tomar la PrEP?<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiv.gov\/hiv-basics\/overview\/data-and-trends\/statistics\">Seg\u00fan HIV.gov, 1.2 millones de personas en los EE. UU. tienen VIH<\/a> y solo el 13% de los casos positivos no saben que est\u00e1n infectados y necesitan hacerse la prueba. La primera inyecci\u00f3n aprobada por la FDA, con el nombre <a href=\"https:\/\/apretude.com\/\">Apretude<\/a>, es un f\u00e1rmaco inyectable de efecto prolongado que debe ser administrado por un profesional de atenci\u00f3n de la salud. Las primeras dos inyecciones se administran con un mes de intervalo.
